  I've tried K.O. Kombo out a few times, and it's been a decent experience every time.
  
  There's awesome variety here, but don't expect anything to blow you out of the water quality wise. Burgers, pizza, Vietnamese sandwiches?! Crazy, I know.
  
  The bright interior and an odd menu attracted me to this place. The prices are very affordable, so if you need a quick bite of value, this is the place to go.
  
  They also deliver. I've had them deliver pizza and banh mi. Alright, maybe I just wanted a banh mi delivered to me... that's pretty awesome! Minimum for delivery is $20, and they can be found on http://Eat24.com. It appears they deliver to most of SF.
  
  I call their pizzas "Asian pizzas." Not because they have Kung Pao Chicken pizza or anything, but because their pizzas are light on sauce and cheese. Come on, let's be real. What Asian family orders pizza with light sauce and cheese? Yes, that's right. All of them. I'm not saying it's a bad thing... I like pizzas that way. Oh wait, I'm Asian.
  
  Bahn mis were good. They're hefty on the meat, which is always a good thing.
  
  I'll definitely try this place out again.

  I was actually killing time after Lunch, between appointments, so all I had was a generous Vietnamese coffee BLACK.  It's been 12 hours and I think I'll stay up and finish another novel . . .
  
  da Kine, with the slowly revolving LARGE pizzas in the heating case . . . and alleged photos of Hoagy type sandwiches. If the boss eats his own pizza, I must give it a second visit to try these things.
  
  -and the wall flat sreen playing music videos is a really nice touch.
  
  -and, Y would the boss/owner/manager ask me if I was in real estate? . . . How could he have known?
  
  -stranger things . . .

  A place that delivers Vietnamese sandwiches?!  How can I say no?!!!  Granted this place doesn't have amazing sandwiches, but when I can't get my lazy self to Saigon Sandwiches this is a great alternative.  Prices are cheap AND they deliver.  There is a minimum for delivery.  I believe $20 which can be hard to make if you just want a couple Vietnamese sandwiches, but throw a couple burgers and fries in and you have some food for later in the day!
  
  I would have given this place 4 stars if it wasn't for their chili cheese fries.  I guess I felt misled since I think of chili cheese fries as fries smothered in chili and cheese.  If you want that, please don't order these.  I posted a picture here: http://www.yelp.com/bi....  Serious, there's barely any chili or cheese!  There was more on the bottom, but not enough to constitute chili cheese fries.  I think they should just take them off the menu or charge more and really make them chili cheese fries!

  This place is okay.
  
  I had the combo vietnamese sandiwch with vietnamese coffee.
  
  Sandwich is average, they mixed the pate with mayo which is a bit weird. It oozes out and makes a mess.
  
  Vietnamese coffee is okay, its not as strong as other places.
  
  Seating area is a bit awkward, and they have a ton of flies flying round .

  K.O. offers a very interesting mix of good ol' American burgers and pizza with Asian noms like piping hot banh mi. They offer tons of combo meals of whatever your stomach desires for really good prices, most under $6. Great place for a group of people who want to eat different things but want to stay at the same place!
  
  *burgers + drink

  * banh mi + vietnamese coffee
  * burger + fries + drink
  * pizza + coffee
  ......................... ..... you get the picture :)
  
  The interior is spacious with giant blown up pictures of juicy burgers and fries. Flat screen TVs continuously played every Katy Perry music videos that's ever been made. A good amount of bar stools and tables for eating in on either side of the restaurant. It felt a little bland and empty but it's okay since they just opened.
  
  **Vegetarian Grilled Tofu Banh Mi: delish!! One of the best veggie banh mi I've had, the tofu has a flavorful fried skin, inside had silky tofu. The bread was crunchy and thick but still easy to eat and didn't cut up my mouth like some breads do (if you ever had Lee's Sandwiches you know what I'm talking about!) I only wish the pickled daikon and carrots were cut thicker, they were more like strings of veggies. ($3.49 for sandwich only)  
  
  Service was a tad slow but friendly. I honestly do not know about the pizza, I saw one rotating in a warmer on the counter and it did not really look that appealing.
  I definitely would come back to get the veggie sandwich again maybe try the other sandwiches but it's hard with Irving Deli right down the block tempting me. Sandwiches were great but didn't quite K.O. my tastebuds!

  3 stars for the French fries! Nice and crispy. Not soggy. Seriously. They're really the only thing that I like from here.
  
  I've had their BBQ chicken banh mi and it left a lot to be desired. I felt like the chicken wasn't cooked that well and it didn't taste good. I mean, it obviously wasn't raw. It just tasted bland and I didn't like that. The bread was alright. Not as crunchy as I would've liked. But, their pickled carrots/daikon was ok.
  
  The customer service is friendly. When you place an order for pick-up, the girl that always answers the phone is really nice. She even calls you back if she forgot to ask you something specific about your order! Overall, an ok place to grab a quick and cheap bite to eat!

  K.O. Kombo offers foods from the five essential food group (for teens): pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, banh mi, fries/onion rings, soda and vietnamese coffee.. their marketing is to offer combos at a cheap price (under 5)
  
  flatscreen: yes
  seating: no, just open space
  eats: hot dog (on iine=3.49, in store=2.99, charged=1.99)
  -bun was nice and toasty
  -dog plumber than usual the average dog, tastier than a miller dog but not gourmet.
  -condiments of ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, jalepenos available.
  -eating the dog wasn't a fountain of youth.

  Meant for the young and hungry, KO Kombo offers quick, cheap meal "kombos" featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, Vietnamese sandwiches (9 kinds: BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, sardine, fish cake) and drinks. A slice of pizza & soda kombo is $3.99.
  
  I ordered a meatball banh mi & Vietnamese coffee kombo ($5.49). The receipt says meatball...but I didn't get a meatball sandwich.
  
  * Combination (or fancy pork?) banh mi: Didn't like the bread at all, it was like a firm, dry roll not a baguette and it was barely warm and not chewy at all. The edges were a little crunchy. Wish it had been toasted longer. Parts of the roll were soggy with a salty sauce that I didn't like. The pickled carrots and daikon were quite tangy (liked that).  The sandwich also had thinly sliced cold cuts (average), lots of pate (yay), tons of cilantro (stems too), and cucumber. Guess you need to ask for jalapenos. The sandwich was dry and lacking in flavor.
  
  * Vietnamese coffee: cold, strong, not too sweet, liked it
  
  The shop is quite empty (no chairs, no tables) but they're probably still getting set up. They will have vanilla soft serve ice cream for 99 cents once they get the machine up and running.

  They opened up a few weeks ago and offer pretty cheap food and drink "kombinations" of burgers, hot dogs, Vietnamese sandwiches, and pizzas.
  
  I had the combination Vietnamese sandwich/coffee. The bread was toasted but still nice and soft on the inside. The meat, veggies and pate had good flavor.
  
  My friend had the hot link combo from which I took a bite. The sausage had a good spice kick to it and the french fries were fried perfectly.
  
  This is probably an idea spot for those looking for a quick bite on a budget.

  I had passed by this place quite a few times before and was always curious as to what kinds of food they had. Finally decided to stop by and check it out. When you first glance at the menu, it's a complete smorgasbord of foods. Pizza, hot wings, banh mi, self serve ice cream, chili cheese fries and hamburgers. (just to name a few)
  
  The Kombo's that they have are a good deal. I highly recommend them! I'm pretty picky about banh mi and usually only go go certain places to get my fix. I decided to try the Combination that came with the Vietnamese coffee. It's a good deal and to be honest, where else can you get a Vietnamese sandwich past 9pm? The sandwich was tasty and the coffee was strong, not much else to complain about.
  
  Will KO Kombo be my go to spot for banh mi? No, but if I'm craving for it at night, you bet it will be!
  
  Pros:
  - food made fresh.
  - good, strong Vietnamese coffee
  - friendly cashier, pretty fast serivce
  - open late!!

  I ran into this place when visiting San Francisco, and I really liked it.  I'll make it a point to go back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
  
  I like burgers, pizza, and Vietnamese sandwiches.  Who would have thought that I could get it all at one place?
  
  I had a pizza there, and gave it my two New Yorker thumbs up.  My wife had the Vietnamese coffee.  She's totally picky about that stuff, and she loved it.  I took a Vietnamese sandwich home -- a combination bun mee.  It was meatier than most, which is a good thing.
  
  Good food, and great value too.  I love places like this.

  What can be said after cranking down a few .,.....this place is great for cheap eats. Love the Vietnamese sandwiches, their burger and fries were great...fries were crispy and tasty.
  
  Gary Danko this ain't, the decor is post Armageddon and the warmth ain't there...but I love this place.
  
  It is sort of the dive bar of fast food. 5 stars baby

  Came here after work for a quick bite...
  
  I had noticed this place just opened up and was surprised to see that they were serving pizza?! really of all things? very interesting..
  
  So at a first glance most people would be shocked that a slice cost you roughly 3-4 bucks..but then take a look again and its actually including a drink too. So for 5 bucks or less you can get a slice of pizza with a drink? Really not too bad of a deal.
  And of course I'm sure this would be aimed more so at the younger crowd.
  
  So I ordered a slice of combination pizza, which consisted of bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, cheese...basically the works. It was pretty good, slice was large and it was pretty spot on for pizza. Best of all, the crust/dough was not greasy..my fingers were not coated in grease...one thing I would ask them to improve on though, lets make the pizza hotter temperature wise.
  
  I also had a vietnamese sandwich..yea I know, its a strange combination of things here. Actually they serve Viet sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza. I know its pretty crazy..oh and I think they have ice cream too.
  
  The viet sandwich was good, a bit dry towards the end. Bread was crunchy and soft inside. So it worked out. I wouldnt come here just for the viet sandwich though.
  
  Overall, they will work out a few kinks here and there, and I'm sure this place will be pretty busy with all them teens. Interesting addition to the block that is filled with tapioca balls...

  I've only had the pleasure of visiting once and only tried two things from KO Kombo: BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I think it was KO Kombo #9.
  
  AMBIENCE - 3 Stars - This just opened up about a month ago, so everything is still fairly clean, tidy and orderly. The menu choices can be found on both, printed signs and also digital signage (LCD Displays). The "look & feel" is fairly common for food service that tries to re-create the HK, Taiwan, Shanghai, Sing feel. Not a lot of seating for dining-in, besides some high counters and stools. The area where I placed my order seemed a little congested. It felt like I was ordering right in the middle of the counter (width-wise) and could only imagine that if it were really busy, it could get confusing on where to go after you order. FYI, not a kid-friendly place to eat.
  
  SERVICE - 3 Stars - The woman that took my order was very friendly and courteous. The gentleman that handed me my order when it was ready, was equally friendly and courteous.
  
  FOOD - 2 Stars - The BBQ Pork Banh Mi looked good. There is a debate among Banh Mi enthusiasts... Individual Banh Mi (or mini baguette) rolls versus cut rolls from long baguettes or rolls. Personally, I don't care, as long as it tastes good. They did use a "banh mi" roll, but it was a bit chewy and it wasn't "lite". The quantity of the pork made me feel like it was a bun-rich sandwich, and I felt that the MEAT:BUN ratio was off. The taste of the pork was OK, but it was lacking a Vietnamese taste (perhaps a few dashes more of five-spice powder?). The pickled carrots/daikon didn't taste pickled enough for me. As for the iced coffee, the Cafe Sua Da had a nice bold taste.
  
  VALUE - 4 Stars - I would (and will) come back. I love to support local, independent purveyors in the food industry, as I grew up in a family-run restaurant. Perhaps a burger next time.

  This neighborhood joint is just what Irving needed--a place that offers a quick, no frills alternative to Chinese food: solid burgers, fries, pizza and....Vietnamese sandwiches??  
  
  Burger: 1/4 lb patty topped with fresh lettuce, juicy tomato and onions.  They need a crispier pickle, but this is a juicy, solid burger. Fries are good too and with soda for $5 is a good deal.
  
  Vietnamese sandwiches: I've had a few sandwiches and I think they still need to work on their toasting consistency, but the portions are quite generous (~15% larger than your standard banh mi). Pâté on the combo has good flavor, grilled pork is my personal go-to sandwich. I would like a larger jalapeño pepper.
  
  Pizza: haven't tried yet

  K.O. Kombo has a variety of cheap eats...pizza, vietnamese sandwich, burger, iced coffee, milk tea, etc. I've been here several occasions, each time ordering something different. I tried slices of cheese and combination pizza when K.O. first opened. The pizza was delicious and not oily like what some of the chain pizzerias offer, but needed to be served more hot. Next time, it was the combination vietnamese sandwich with iced coffee combo...awesome deal for less than $6 and the coffee got my heart racing. More recently, I had a cheeseburger and milk tea with condensed milk. Although condensed milk was already added, it would have tasted better with more condensed milk.
  
  Overall, I would recommend K.O. for great value, filling meals, and friendly service.

  Vietnamese sandwich and coffee combo is a great deal.
  The coffee is strong the sandwich is very good.  Perhaps you can get a better sandwich in the tenderloin, but it is still a great sandwich.
  Service is very friendly and you can't get that in the tenderloin.
  I hope they keep the friendly service up.  Restaurants are often very friendly when they have just open, and go downhill once the newness wears off.

  As far as the food, I like it. The prices are very reasonable. Pizza is good, but could be warmer. The burger and fries are decent.
